[UPDATE] Resident Evil 5 now due out in November?

In March, we posted a rumor on how Resident Evil 5 was expected to hit as early as October (possibly Halloween). This was in support of the rumor that released in April's issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly. Well, we've received an update from our source stating that Capcom has now pushed the title back to release in November.
We've also been told that Sherry Birkin (the young girl who assisted Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2) will play a role in Resident Evil 5. Since the game takes place 10 years after Resident Evil 2, that puts Birkin at about 22yrs. Old – the perfect age for killing zombies.
Could she be the second playable character for the rumored Co-op? Only time will tell, however, this role may be reserved for the female mercenary recently shown in Japan’s Famitsu magazine.
With a new trailer set to debut May 31st, we hope some of these rumors will be answered. Stay tuned to PSU.com for more information.

A mysterious countdown has recently surfaced on Resident Evil's official website.
Make of it what you will, but we're betting it has something to do with the aforementioned trailer on May 31. Stay tuned.

Please turn out to be true I need this game so badly.
As for the Co-op with that secret female, I reakon that it may be Claire Redfeild and if its not I can guess that she will be in it.....

This is interesting. Resident Evil is one of the best series I've played. I remember when it came out on GameCube. It was crappy camera angles but that was it. The playstation ones were far better.

Welll the timer reset to the origional time every time you go back to the page so Is it really a timer ?At one stage aI had a small boy walk across to the bus do some clanking then walk away again. Has anybody left this site running for langer and seen if anything else happens ?Like I said it goes back to the origional times when you reloa the page but I have had it go as far as 72:52:00 and it was still going. Not sitting at the computer all day so I havent seen anything else happen as of yett

with the graphics in this resident evil the game should come with a night light. should be amazing.

I am 41 and usually the sports guy, I got divorced and bought a wii and the umbrella cronicals, thought it was cool. so I got RE4, fricken awsome. I found out RE5 was on PS3, so I went out and got one and pre orded RE5. I played RE4 24 hours straight. RE5 lookes even better than RE4. the sooner the better. needless to say I will be out of the office for a couple days.
